2017 Admissions Open
We endeavour to ensure that the mosaic of our student body reflects the variety and diversity that comprise the richness and greatness of our nation. This is attained by a fair and transparent Admission Procedure, driven entirely by merit. NIMT admits students to its Undergraduate and Graduate Courses every year. The admission procedures usually extend from mid-May to End-July and classes begin around mid-August. A very large number of students, most of them commendably, meritorious and talented apply each year from every State and Union Territory.
NIMT follows the semester system in most of its undergraduate and graduate programmes. University examinations are now held twice a year with courses having semester system, at the end of each of the semesters an academic year is divided into. Other courses that are still in the conventional annual system experience university exams annually. Internal sessionals are conducted in all courses.
Every student is required to work towards a degree with a specific choice of courses. The duration of a Master’s programme is two years and that of a Bachelor’s is based on the course being pursued.
Admissions are based on marks obtained in the Qualifying Examination(s) and on interviews held for candidates whose marks are above the cut-offs.
Direct Admission Process: Student securing 80%+ agg. in Class XII (CBSE/ISC/State-Boards of 2016/2017) are exempted from selection process. Selection will be only on the basis of NIMT Application Form.
