The Assistant Professor is responsible for the supervision of the Medical Imaging Program, as well as the placement and supervision of students at the clinical affiliation site (Hospitals for training). To achieve this goal, it expected that the Assistant Professor will oversee new and continued enrollment of students, oversee the clinical affiliations where students are being trained, cultivate new clinical sites and maintain positive relations with existing clinical sites.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Overseeing all accreditation procedures and performing other duties related to continued accreditation of the program.
• Developing the academic schedule of courses appropriate to the needs of the students. Assigning faculty to program specific courses for each academic schedule. Hiring adjunct faculty where needed. Overseeing ordering for all of the program's courses.

• Assisting program students by, among other things providing advisement, monitoring academic progress, evaluating and investigating student complaints.

Education Requirements:

Master's degree from an accredited program or an otherwise recognized training entity (e.g., hospital-based program) in the specialty field or subject area required. MD/DNB* in Radiology or equivalent foreign degree with 3 years post MD senior residency in or equivalent foreign training. M.Sc Radiology, Radiography, Radiotherapy from recognised university. Teaching experience preferred.

Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience:

* Strong organizational skills

* Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook

* Possession of current Radiologic Technologist (RT) credential

* Possesses current state license

* Expertise in interpersonal and oral presentation/written communication skills.

* Two (2) years of practical experience in the Radiography field preferred.

* A minimum of one year experience teaching in a Higher Ed Radiology/Radiography program preferred.

Working Conditions:

Office and laboratory environments; travel to clinical affiliates is required.
