Radiography uses technically sophisticated equipment that produces x-radiation used to create images of the human body. If you have a strong background in math and science, this program will prepare you for a career as a radiographer. Graduates are eligible to take the national certification examination.

Capitalizing on our exceptional resources, you will receive unparalleled training on state-of-the-art equipment. Your training will include general x-ray, orthopedics, pediatrics, emergency room, trauma, mobile studies and the surgical suite. You will obtain first-hand, clinical experience in radiologic procedures at several of our affiliate hospital facilities, as well as other clinical facilities.

Program Mission Statement 

The mission of B.Sc Radiology and Imaging Technology course at NIMT Institute of Medical and Paramedical Sciences is to provide a comprehensive radiography program that will graduate competent entry-level radiographers for the healthcare community. The graduates will exemplify qualities of excellence in patient care, professionalism, safety and ethical behavior thereby enhancing the healthcare experience of the patients they serve. 

Radiography Program Goals and Student Learning Outcomes 

Goal 1: Students will demonstrate critical thinking skills in the classroom and clinical setting.

Student learning outcomes:

• Students will be able to formulate effective technical factors based on patient body habitus, trauma, pathology and physical and equipment limitations.

• Students will critically evaluate completed radiographs 

Goal 2: Students will demonstrate skill in written and oral expression

Student learning outcomes:

• Students will demonstrate written communication skills

• Students will demonstrate oral communication skills

Eligibility

What is the minimum qualification for BRDIT?

10+2 with 45% marks for Gen./OBC & 40% marks for SC/ST
(Eligibility=Bio/ Comp. Science/ Maths).

Medical imaging professionals apply their knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, patient positioning, radiation protection, and image production techniques in the performance of their duties. Is there a loan facility available for the program?

NIMT has tied up with Credenc to help students avail education loans easily from a number of banks and NBFCs. The education loans for the students of NIMT are offered based on the credit history of the co-applicant and academic performance of the applicant.

Yes, loan facility can be availed for the payment of the program fee.  Loan applications can take up to 2 weeks to get processed, hence candidates are advised to apply for loan as soon as they are shortlisted. To apply click here.

How much do I pay to block my seat for BRDIT?

You need to pay ₹59,000 to block your seat.

What is the Fee Structure BRDIT
  1. One time application fee: INR 1000
  2. First year fee: INR 1,03,000
  3. Subsequent years fee: INR 88,000 per annum
  4. Examination Fee: INR As per university norms & subject to change

Above fee is exclusive of accomodation charges (if required) as well as clinical training fee.

Can I do a payment each 6 months in stead of a yearly payment?

Yes but each academic year has a deadline of clearing that current academic year fee payment. The deadline date for each academic year is 10th of January month.

What is course duration of BRDIT and how much time do I need to spend to achieve success in the program?

The course duration is 3 Years and 6 Months.

You will need to spend 20 hours per week to get optimum results and learning.

Overall, this program will have lectures broken down into small easy-to-complete segments. The remaining hours of engagement will be a mix of industry projects, live instructor sessions, hospital training hours, mentoring sessions and online and offline meetups.
