Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)

The Elementary Teacher Education Programme through Open and Distance Learning System is intended primarily for upgrading professional development i.e skills, competencies, attitudes and understanding to make teaching and learning more effective for working (in-service) teachers in the elementary schools.

As per the RTE Act 2009 it is mandatory to have professionally qualified teachers in the schools at elementary level. It is a huge task to make the in-service teachers professionally qualified through the existing teacher education institution within the prescribed time limit. It is felt essential to avail the advantages of ODL system to provide professional education to the in-service untrained teachers working in formal schooling system. Hence, the teacher education institutions like SCERT, IASE, CTE, DIET, BRC, CRC and in exceptional cases well equipped Senior Secondary schools have been accepted to be utilized as study centres where teachers, educators and professionally qualified teachers are available.

As per the amendment to the section 23(2) of the RTE Act to extend up to March 31st, 2019 the period for training of untrained in-service elementary teachers in the Govt./Govt. Aided/Unaided - Private Schools has been passed by the Parliament. The course will be completed by 31st March, 2019.

Objectives:

1. Enable the teachers to to understand and address diversity in his/her context;
2. Empower teacher to improve quality of classroom processes/transaction;
3. Develop capacity in teachers to promote child friendly, child centred processes in school;
4. Familiarize the teachers with appropriate teaching learning processes;
5. Facilitate Teachers to develop leadership & problem solving skills among children;
6. Sensitize Teachers to ensure child rights and related issue.

प्रारंभिक और दूरस्थ शिक्षा प्रणाली के माध्यम से प्राथमिक शिक्षक शिक्षा कार्यक्रम प्राथमिक रूप से व्यावसायिक विकास को उन्नत करने के लिए है, अर्थात्, प्राथमिक स्कूलों में काम करने वाले (इन-सर्विस) शिक्षकों के लिए शिक्षण और सीखने को और अधिक प्रभावी बनाने के लिए कौशल, दक्षता, दृष्टिकोण और समझ। आरटीई अधिनियम 2009 के अनुसार प्राथमिक स्तर पर स्कूलों में व्यावसायिक रूप से योग्य शिक्षकों का होना अनिवार्य है। निर्धारित समय सीमा के भीतर मौजूदा शिक्षक शिक्षा संस्थान के माध्यम से इन-सर्विस शिक्षकों को पेशेवर रूप से योग्य बनाना बहुत बड़ा काम है। औपचारिक स्कूली शिक्षा प्रणाली में कार्यरत इन-सर्विस अप्रशिक्षित शिक्षकों को व्यावसायिक शिक्षा प्रदान करने के लिए ओडीएल प्रणाली के लाभों का लाभ उठाना आवश्यक माना जाता है। इसलिए, SCERT, IASE, CTE, DIET, BRC, CRC जैसे शिक्षक शिक्षा संस्थानों और असाधारण मामलों में अच्छी तरह से सुसज्जित वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक स्कूलों को अध्ययन केंद्र के रूप में उपयोग करने के लिए स्वीकार किया गया है, जहां शिक्षक, शिक्षक और पेशेवर योग्य शिक्षक उपलब्ध हैं। 31 मार्च, 2019 तक आरटीई अधिनियम की धारा 23 (2) में संशोधन के अनुसार, सरकार में अप्रशिक्षित इन-सर्विस प्राथमिक शिक्षकों के प्रशिक्षण की अवधि। एडेड / अनएडेड - निजी स्कूलों को संसद द्वारा पारित किया गया है। कोर्स 31 मार्च, 2019 तक पूरा हो जाएगा।
